GUADALUPE GALLIVANTERS - EASTER WALK
Comfort's Easter Walk, a cherished tradition since 1980, invites participants of all ages to enjoy a scenic 5K or 10K stroll through the breathtaking Texas Hill Country in spring. This non-competitive event welcomes walkers to start anytime between 8 AM and 11 AM on Saturday, April 19th, beginning at Comfort Park and following a clearly marked trail. Along the way, a limited number of colorful eggs will be hidden, and lucky finders can exchange them for prizes at the finish line. To make the day even more enjoyable, breakfast and lunch concessions will be available.

Comfort Golden Age Center - Spring Day Trip
We will board the bus at Comfort Golden Age Center by 10:30 am to head up to the Wildseed Farm. Then we will go to Leroy's Tex-Mex BBQ and have lunch around 1pm before heading over to Luckenbach for some live music from 2pm to 4pm, arriving back at the center around 4:30pm. Join us for our fun and easy Hand Building Pottery Class! All ages and experience levels welcome. We provide all the materials, and instruct you on assembling your piece, made by using an empty wine bottle as a mold. You will build and decorate your pottery piece, and students are encouraged to bring in personal items to decorate your piece, such as jewelry, sea shells, or anything that creates texture on clay.

Comfort Heritage Foundation - General Meeting & Faltin Home Tour
The Comfort Heritage Foundation General Meeting will be on Monday, March 10th from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. In lieu of our regular meeting, we will tour the old Faltin home. This is sure to be a "don't miss" meeting!
Dan and Carla Smalley are the owners of the August F. Faltin home and are hosting an open house of their in-process renovation. Refreshments will be available there. Come and join us….she’s beautiful!
August Friederich Faltin and his wife Clara Below Faltin emigrated to Comfort in 1856 from Danzig, Prussia and they were among Comfort's earliest settlers. August Faltin prospered as a merchant and financier over a long and storied career; in 1894, the Faltin Home was constructed to be his retirement home. We purchased the Faltin Home in 2018 with the goal of restoring her to her original glory but updated for modern living conveniences. Phase 1 of the restoration has been completed consisting of extensive cleanup, demolition, cleaning and re-pointing of historic masonry and framing. Planning for Phase 2 and completion is in process.
