Join us to open our newest exhibit featuring the mixed media paintings of Laura Mijangos-Rapp and Sandy Whitby. At its heart, "The Things We Carry" is a meditation in color on the invisible forces that weigh on us and lift us up—the memories that haunt, the loves that sustain, and the losses that linger in our hearts. The two San Antonio-based artists offer us not only a reflection of their inner worlds but an invitation to consider the things we carry in our own lives. This exhibition speaks to the strength, vulnerability, and complexity of being human, as told through the eyes of two women who have lived, loved, and experienced much.
